Voluntary Emergency Service Transport (VEST)

VEST provides door to door transport for those unable to access conventional transport. Services are available for groups and individuals. Dial a Bus provides a service into Cardiff City from all areas of Cardiff and The Vale. Ring & Ride provides transport for Cardiff residents to travel anywhere within Cardiff (except to hospital appointments) Monday to Friday. The above services are supported by The Vale and Cardiff Councils and a small contribution to the running costs are applicable. In addition VEST operates a group transport service to anywhere in the UK (subject to volunteer availability). Popular destinations include Porthcawl, Weston Super Mare, Swansea etc. All drivers are professionally trained in safe driving and passenger assistance.

The ring and ride service operates between 9.30am - 4pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.30am - 3.30pm on Fridays.
