Trafford Sensory Impairment Support Service

This service provides support to children who have a visual impairment and their families from birth to 19 years of age.

They work within the home, nursery, primary school, secondary school, college and special school settings. They aim to work in partnership with parents, carers, teachers and other personnel for the benefit of the child.

This service operates an open referral system; medical information is used as the baseline for an initial assessment. They follow the SEN Code of Practice procedures along with all Trafford schools.
