Society of Visually Impaired Lawyers (SOVIL)

The society of visually impaired lawyers is a membership association that aims to do everything within its power to help and encourage students in entering the legal profession, and to work on behalf of the interests of those employed in it.

It covers both branches of the profession, lawyers working in central and local government, industry and the academic field. It offers a support network between members, an email group, provides networking opportunities and organises other events for members to meet in person.

The Society aims to increase the amount of material available to lawyers and students and, where necessary, liaises with, and lobbies, bodies such as the Law Society and Bar Council on behalf of visually impaired lawyers.
