Sight Support Worthing

A local charity that supports blind and partially sighted people in Worthing. Activities include:
- arts and crafts
- exercise and Tai Chi classes
- line dancing
- social groups
- home visiting service
- monthly social afternoon, includes entertainment
- grants available upon application to the Trustees (most grants applied for are for equipment)
- monthly braille tutoring
- arranging trips and days out
- travel / shopping assistance: yes. The society has a minibus and uses volunteer drivers. Transport is provided to take members from their homes to the supermarket within the borough fortnightly. Members pay a small contribution to the cost.

Once a month the society holds a Low Vision aid clinic run by the ROVI (Rehabilitation Officer Visual Impairment) from the Sensory Services team.
