Sight Scotland

Sight Scotland is one of Scotland’s oldest charities, meeting the challenges of visual impairment for over two centuries. We believe that everyone with sight loss deserves to lead a great life.

If you or someone you care about is struggling with their sight, you can contact us for free support from 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, on 0800 024 8973.
Services offered:
Support in the community: Our Wellbeing Team are there to listen and support people across Scotland with any questions and concerns they have about sight loss or about helping someone with sight loss.
Learning: We provide learning at the Royal Blind School in Edinburgh, and work with local authorities to deliver specialist education.
Care: Sight Scotland offers care for adults with sight loss and complex needs in our two Edinburgh homes.
Enterprise: The Scottish Braille Press provides transcription services which enable equal access to the written word in braille, large print and audio.

Sight Scotland also runs a social group in Paisley on the 3rd Monday of every month at Finding Your Feet Charity Hub, St James House, 25 St James Street, Paisley, PA3 2HQ.
