Sight Airedale

A charity supporting registered sight impaired people living in Keighley (BD13, BD15, BD21, BD22), Silsden (BD20), Bingley (BD16), Ilkley (LS29), Skipton (BD23), Cross Hills (BD20), Settle (BD24), Barnoldswick (BB18).

They have three social centres that offer a chat over a cup of tea, music, guest speakers and occasional outings. Transport can be requested.

Their Scott Street Daily Living Shop has many products that their staff can demonstrate. Visits to the shop are by appointment only.

They offer computer training, information on buying/adapting computer equipment, demonstrations of mobile phones/tablets and access to a range of adaptive technology.

Other services include:
- Talking Book Library
- benefits form filling
- braille for beginners
- magnifier assessment (by appointment)
- newsletter three times a year
- transcription service for braille, audio CD, large print and digital formats.
- five flats/bungalow to rent
