SEDCAT - South East Dorset Community Access Transport

If you are unable to access regular passenger transport because of your age, sickness or disability then sedcat will be able to help. We believe that it is vitally important for people in the community to retain their independence and still be able to get out and about.

The BAT bus
Door to door shopping service with lift/ramp and accessible steps. Day outings available. Return fares vary. You will need to prebook up to 12pm the day beforehand. Annual membership is £10.

Community cars
Voluntary car scheme for visits to GP, dentists, lunch clubs, hairdressers etc. There is a cost to the service, call Community Cars on 01202 309433 from 10am to 2pm on weekdays. Cost is based on mileage.

Shopmobility
Electric scooters, powered wheelchairs and manual wheelchairs available at Boscombe and Castlepoint. Membership is £10.50 plus a £2.50 daily usage fee. Visitor's fee is £5. Long term loan of mobility equipment is also available. To book or for more details call 01202 534027.
