RNIB Sight Loss Counselling Team

Our Sight Loss Counselling Team accredited by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), is a team of experienced and qualified telephone counsellors. We offer free confidential telephone, instant messaging and online counselling to people, who because of their sight loss, are experiencing difficult thoughts and feelings. Our service extends to partners, relatives and carers of people with sight loss.

We also run group sessions for up to 8 weeks which provide an opportunity for you to share your feelings around sight loss and explore ways forward with people in a similar situation.

As an Organisational Member of BACP we are bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, the Ethical Guidelines for Researching Counselling and Psychotherapy (where organisations undertake research) and subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure for the time being in force. We also comply with the Data Protection Act.
