POhWER

POhWER are a national charity who provide independent, free and confidential information, advice and advocacy services to people who experience disability, vulnerability, distress and social exclusion. They offer free, confidential and independent services to help people understand their rights, be treated as equals and be heard.

Their advocates can help to write letters as well as help to prepare for meetings and then attend them with you. They can help to explore your options and will act on your direction. The service can also provide self-help packs, information in accessible formats and interpreting services.

Services include:
NHS Complaints Advocacy, Independent Mental Health Advocacy, Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy including Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Peer, Citizen and Self Advocacy, Community Advocacy and Specialist Secure and Complex Advocacy Services.
