Ostley House Home for the Blind

Ostley House is a large Victorian House providing specialist residential care for 38 people including sheltered accommodation in 5 bungalows in the grounds. The bungalows have a fully fitted kitchen with a nurse system installed to give immediate access to help. All rooms in the main property have their own bathroom.

The accommodation is for visually impaired and sighted single people and couples. All age groups with serious sight loss are considered but current residents are predominately elderly. A proportion of the spaces is open to elderly people with no sight loss. Ostley House can cater for people with additional needs such as learning difficulties, physical disabilities, deaf/blind.

It is located about two miles from the town centre. The home is on the main bus route.
