New College Worcester (NCW)

New College Worcester is a residential college open to blind and partially sighted students from across the UK aged 11 to 19. The College offers every student an individual programme of education, mobility and Independent Living Skills.

As well as an extensive range of AS and A-Level courses, the College offers ASDAN courses and an extensive range of outdoor and leisure activities - from acoustic rifle shooting to rock climbing.

The College's teachers are all specialists in their subjects and additionally qualified to teach visually impaired young people. The College also employs qualified care staff to look after students in the evenings and at weekends.

All materials and equipment are modified appropriately according to the needs of the visually impaired student. Students are empowered to move on effectively from the College, with appropriate skills for independence and qualifications for further study.
