Nailsea Disability Initiative

Provides free welfare benefits and rights information and advice to local disabled people, their friends and relatives. Services include:
-Advice about benefits and grants to which people may be entitled, for example Disabled Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Carers Allowance and Pension Credit.
-Obtain application forms for clients and help to fill them out, including through home visits where necessary.
-Refer people to agencies dealing with issues such as fuel poverty, heating or care needs.
-Accept reports reports about disabled access problems and try to do something about this type of issue.
-Can visit schools and other organisations, to provide disability awareness sessions.
-Advice about how to obtain disability equipment, facilities or medical advice.

The office and drop-in centre is in the shopping precinct in the centre of Nailsea, North Somerset.
