Milton Keynes Reader Service

A free voluntary organisation that offers sight impaired people living within the Milton Keynes area help with reading and writing in their own home. They can help with post, filing, reading documents and filling in forms or reading newspapers and magazine articles.

They also offer a 'Shop and See' service where a volunteer will visit your home, help you with your shopping list and then take you shopping. If needed, the volunteer will also help unpack purchases.

In addition, a facilitation service is provided where a volunteer can collect you and take you to an educational or cultural activity such as the theatre, library, seminar or art galleries.

All volunteers are fully trained and checked by the Disclosure and Barring Service and confidentiality is respected at all times.
