The Long Eaton & District Talking Newspaper for the Blind & Partially sighted has been operating for 46 years (started in 1978) and has circa 150 listeners within their geographical area that covers Eastwood in the North, to Castle Donington in the South, Beeston in the East to Borrowash in the West and beyond. This Talking Newspaper posts an audio memory stick every three weeks to their listeners that contains many hours of local News, Poems, Articles & Current Affairs, plus Magazines Programmes like Woman’s Weekly, Woman’s Realm, Peoples Friend, BBC Music, Gardeners World, Which and many more all completely Free of Charge to those who are Blind or Partially sighted, who find reading difficult, if not impossible. They supply all listeners with a Memory Stick Player FREE OF CHARGE.
