London Borough of Southwark Visual Impairment Service

The Visual Impairment Team is part of Southwark’s Children’s and Adult Services based at Tooley Street. We are a team of four qualified teachers of children and young people with visual impairments, QTVI’s. We provide specialist support to children and young people with reduced vision that cannot be corrected by wearing glasses and whose visual impairment has an impact on their education. We support children and young people from pre-school right up to employment.
The team provide advice and support in schools and early years settings to teaching staff and support staff.

We accept referrals from NHS professionals and schools either through the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) system or by direct referral to the Head of Service, Susan King O'Neill on Susan.KingO’[email protected]
