Cornwall Council - Vision Support Team

The Vision Support Team provides support to blind and partially sighted children aged 0 - 25 years, and their families.

Help includes:
- braille tutor
- learning to touch type
- support with resources (such as Braille Notes, laptops with specialist software on, distance cameras, portable magnifiers)
- training / Inset
- support in the home, early years schools and settings, mainstream and specialist schools.

The specialist team comprises of 5 Qualified Teachers of the Visually Impaired,
1 part time Visually Assistive Technology Teacher and 1 part-time Habilitation Specialist.
