Community Resource

Community Resource is a charity that is committed to making life better for people and communities facing challenges in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin. Their mission is to enable people to enjoy a good quality of life and empower people to help their communities thrive. Part of their work within Community Resource is focused on improving the quality of life for people with a visual impairment. Their aims are to reduce social isolation, provide access to essential equipment, and collaborate with local organizations. They advocate for visually impaired people, offer support where needed and assist in accessing equipment and grants. They also organize and run peer support groups where members can connect, share challenges, and offer encouragement to each other. As many of their members have shared, these groups bring hope and help reduce feelings of social isolation, while also providing useful information about services and resources to help promote greater independence.
