Bolton Council Visual Impairment Team

Provides specialist social care - including registration and rehabilitation - to blind and partially sighted people in Bolton.

Services include:
- advice and information
- home visits to talk things through
- mobility training
- help with overcoming difficulties with reading and writing, such as magnifiers and talking books
- braille class
- providing specialist equipment, some of which is on display at the centre
- visual awareness training
- social groups.
