BlindAid works to improve the social welfare of blind and partially sighted people living in inner London, covering the following London boroughs: Camden, Greenwich, Hackney, Hammersmith and Fulham, Islington and the City, Kensington and Chelsea, Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Wandsworth, Westminster
Offers:
• The Sight Support Service - an outreach service delivered by regular phone calls/visits for emotional and/or practical support, help with reading letters, contacting statutory services, signposting.
• Small grants for items that promote independence e.g. white goods, computers, beds etc.
• Camden Community Project - Free classes in IT, safe cooking/ healthy eating, art, yoga and creative writing (Currently closed for new referrals due to the excessive demand for places).
