Blind in Business (BIB)

Blind in Business does not help people to start their own businesses.
Blind in Business is a registered charity that helps sight impaired students in the UK into work through their free training and employment services. They encourage visually impaired people to identify and achieve their ambitions.

Employment Service
- They support A-Level students, undergraduates and graduates with transition from education to employment
- They have over 20 years’ experience of the recruitment process and extensive knowledge of the needs of visually impaired candidates

Training Service
- They work with visually impaired school children, their parents and teachers to raise their career aspirations
- They run training days in schools working with over 200 school children a year

Support offered
- Career planning and mentoring, including interview practice and proofreading
- Help finding work experience, internships and job vacancies
- Advice on assistive technology, reasonable adjustments and disclosure.
