Provides specialist social services to blind and partially sighted people living in the city of Birmingham. Services include:
- rehabilitation unit
- social work support
- statutory registration of people who are blind or partially sighted
- day centre provision
- funding of talking book service (City Libraries Department)
- dissemination of information.
