RNIB statement on cancellation of 2020 Prudential RideLondon
Following announcement of the cancellation, Alex McDowell, Head of Public Fundraising at RNIB, said:
“We understand and respect the decision taken by organisers to cancel the RideLondon 2020 event during the ongoing global pandemic.
“Although we are disappointed for the riders who have been fundraising and training hard to cycle in the event as part of Team RNIB, we are extremely grateful for their incredible support.
“We will continue to work with our cyclists to provide updates as we receive further information from organisers, and as we move together towards our goal of smashing the barriers facing blind and partially sighted people across the UK.”

About RNIB
We are the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).
Every six minutes, someone in the UK begins to lose their sight. RNIB is taking a stand against exclusion, inequality and isolation to create a world without barriers where people with sight loss can lead full lives. A different world where society values blind and partially sighted people not for the disabilities they’ve overcome, but for the people they are.
RNIB. See differently.
