RNIB launches Travel and Transport Survey open to blind and partially sighted people

The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) is inviting blind and partially sighted people to share their experience of travel and getting around in a new Travel and Transport survey. This survey aims to gather insights on how recent changes in the UK's transport infrastructure are impacting those with sight loss.

With the rapid introduction of new cycling infrastructure, reduced bus services, and the rise of e-scooters and e-bikes, navigating our streets has become increasingly challenging for people with sight loss. These changes are not just inconvenient; they can be exhausting and pose serious risks of injury, significantly affecting the confidence and independence of blind or partially sighted people.

By participating in this survey, you can help RNIB demonstrate to decision-makers the real impact of these changes on people with sight loss - something they simply might not have considered before. Your experiences are crucial in advocating for safer and more accessible travel options.

How can I take part?

The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete, and you can save your progress at any time to return and finish later. If you would prefer to fill out the survey over the phone, you can call the RNIB Helpline on 0303 123 9999 for support, or email [email protected].

Together, we can make travel accessible for everyone. Thank you for your time and input!
