Keeping in Touch for volunteers
The Keeping in Touch for volunteers sessions are back for 2024 for our amazing RNIB volunteers. These events take place online, three times a year and our open to all current RNIB volunteers.
Keeping in Touch for volunteers began as an idea from our Volunteer Advisory Council. They recognised a need to provide volunteers with the opportunity to get together and feel supported in their volunteer experience.
The sessions are all volunteer led. They are delivered on Teams and there is an option to join via telephone too. They are a great opportunity to connect with others from across the organisation, learn more about RNIB, receive volunteering updates and have some fun too.
Over the past two years the success of sessions has grown. We have welcomed many volunteers who have enjoyed the chance to get to know others and develop in their skill set and knowledge.
We enjoyed presentations from services such as See Sport Differently and RNIB Campaigns, as well as regularly being joined by the senior leaders of various services in the organisation. We celebrate occasions such as Volunteers Week and International Volunteers Day as well as holding end of year events and joining in with our Festival of Volunteering celebrations.
We are looking forward to our next session which is being held on Tuesday 9 April at 1-2pm. This will focus on our new volunteer Essential Training offer and volunteer recruitment and there will be an opportunity to share your volunteering experiences and highlights. If you are an RNIB volunteer we would love you to join us, complete the registration form below to receive a link and an agenda.
