Every £10 gift could send a personalised Letter from Santa in an accessible format, along with a small sensory gift to a child with vision impairment.

£20 a month could help our Eye Care Liaison Officers (ECLOs) be here to give families the emotional and practical support they need.

£30 a month over a year could send personalised Letters from Santa in an accessible formant, to 45 children with vision impairment this Christmas.

£38 could enable a child with vision impairment to attend our ‘Christmas Cracker’ Shape and Share event connecting with other children with shared experiences to enjoy festive fun and activities together.

£60 could produce braille Letters from Santa for 200 children with vision impairment, so they can read their letter in a format that’s accessible to them this Christmas.

“Hi! My name’s Keira - I’m RNIB’s Head Joy Maker. This year I’m on a mission to help even more children, like me, with vision impairment, feel included in all the festive magic.

I used to feel left out at Christmas – until the year everything changed! I got my first accessible Letter from Santa, and unlike most letters, this one was in braille. I could read it without Mum’s help! I finally felt included – it was so magical.

Last year, we made Christmas special for children with vision impairment by sending more than 1,600 accessible Letters from Santa. There are over 25,000 children who live with vision impairment in the UK and so many of them are still missing out at Christmas. But with you on our team of Joy Makers, we can make sure more children can take part in the festive tradition of getting a Letter from Santa! We can send more letters than ever before – in braille, audio, and large print - and show children with vision impairment they deserve to be included too.
