Policy and Reports
Our policy statements are based on the latest evidence from blind and partially sighted people and the sight loss sector. We have policy position statements on a range of areas from access to information, education, eye health, employment and more.
Education
Blind and partially sighted young people and children should have the same rights, opportunities and life chances as their sighted contemporaries. Timely intervention and support are essential to ensure that blind and partially sighted children are fully able to participate in and benefit from education.
- Alongside partners, we are working on how we can see the Curriculum Framework for Children and Young People with Vision Impairment (CFVI) embedded into policy across the UK.
- The below policy statements for each of the nations set out what the CFVI is, why it is important and what we would like to see happen in Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England.
