Description
RNIB Staff Opportunity Only. Are you a good listener? This is a light-touch opportunity where you will facilitate a series of special interest telephone groups, that offers blind and partially sighted people the opportunity to socialise with others and enjoy a shared interest.
Our Special Interest Group Facilitators help our telephone groups to run smoothly. The telephone groups provide an opportunity to discuss a particular interest as well as welcome guest speakers.
You should have a natural empathy and an ability to relate to a wide cross section of people.
The groups meet for an hour, either on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis, and normally for a fixed time.

Your group will meet for an hour per week, fortnight, or month. This is a remote role carried out via telephone. You will receive training before starting the role and mentoring during your time as a volunteer.
