'The creation of accessible images is more complex than simply creating a tactile or large print copy of the original'. (See It Right: RNIB)
Free tactile images and maps roadshow
RNIB Access Consultancy Services has just completed its second roadshow in Leeds and is planning further roadshows for 2012.
Our Roadshows enable you to see (and feel) lots of examples of tactile images, hand-held maps, Maps for All, tactile models and tactile installations. Meet Sue King, Tactile Images and Maps Consultant and members of the Tactile Images design team.
The roadshows offer a taster session to give some basic details about tactile images and maps. If you can't wait or need a more in depth workshop please refer to our tactile images and maps workshop which is available as a 1/2 day or one day session.
Who should attend?
This roadshow is appropriate for professionals making decisions about the provision of tactile images, maps and touch tours/installations for blind and partially sighted people.
Be inspired!
"I just wanted to say 'thank you' for yesterday. I had a fantastic time and your breakout session was truly inspiring. I've passed on the information I took away to our interpretation team and fingers crossed we can do something in the future." Quote from a delegate at our Leeds roadshow.
