About RNIB College

We offer residential or day programmes to people with a wide range of disabilities, including sight loss.

Our programmes cater for people with autism, mild, moderate or severe learning difficulties, communication difficulties, physical mobility difficulties and managed chronic illness.

Before making a decision about applying for a course, please come and visit us! We hold regular visit days throughout the year for potential learners, their families, support workers and for professionals.

You will enjoy a tour of the College, see our accommodation and meet current learners and be able to talk to RNIB staff about the best course for you.

Learners' stories

Nicola's story - Adult Employment

Nicola's eyesight had deteriorated until she was completely blind. Unemployed and with no knowledge of how to return to work, Nicola met with her Access to Work Advisor who suggested that she attend a visit day to The RNIB College Loughborough. She then enrolled on a six month programme.

Charlotte's story - Bridge programme

I have been at the college for nearly three years now. I began doing the in-house programme for two years and now I am on the College's Bridge programme, which is helping me to become more independent.
