Independence
Your child will need to be able to move around the school independently. From the start, the child should be encouraged to be independent as far as possible in this respect.
Mobility officers
A specialist mobility officer trained in working with children will be able to help your child to learn appropriate skills. The officer will also help you and school staff to use strategies to support your child.
