RNIB Rushton School and Children's Home

RNIB Rushton School and Children's Home is now known as RNIB Pears Centre for Specialist Learning, as part of a major redevelopment due for completion in 2012.

Pears Foundation has invested over £1million in the redevelopment. Pears Foundation is a leading funder of autism and other specialist education in the UK.

Our services

We offer specialist services to young people who are blind or partially sighted with multiple disabilities and complex needs, including:

  • education
  • residential care
  • therapies and healthcare

Our team promotes achievement in personal development, independence, communication, mobility and socialisation. We actively support transition to ensure that all young people attending RNIB Pears Centre get the very best start to their adult life.
