Read for RNIB Day

Book lovers all over the UK, have been having fun hosting or taking part in fundraising events for Read for RNIB Day. Watch the Read for RNIB Day Guinness World Record video where we smashed the Guinness World Record for the world's longest reading relay at Waterstone's, London Piccadilly. You can also watch our Talking Book narrators read the poems "Mole's sunrise", "If" and "On the ning nang nong" for Read for RNIB Day.

Finding your feet

Talking cash machines

Blind and partially sighted people in America can plug their ear phones into one in every four cash machines and hear a voice that guides them through their transactions. In Britain, only one in a thousand can talk! The world where only sighted people get to use cash machines must be made a thing of the past. Watch our video about the talking cash machines campaign.

Audio description

Audio description is an additional commentary added to TV programmes and film to describe on screen action and characters' body language, expressions and movements.
