Hi, everyone! My name is Tina, 22. I must say right from the start that I am not blind. But a while ago I had the chance to talk to someone who was blind and it made me understand how little I actually know about it, about blindness and about the millions of different ways we live different lives in the same world. So, if any of you is willing, I would like to understand and learn more from you. Maybe because I sometimes like to write stories, I believe we all have a story to tell or a story to listen to. As for me, I would like to know your stories, to hear from you, and learn more about your world. I admit I might not have much to give in return, but for all it`s worth, I gladly offer my friendship and an open invitation to talk about anything you like and maybe even get to know each-other a bit. About me? I have a BA in foreign languages and literatures, and quite predictably I love literature and learning languages - learning new things in general. I`m a moderately realistic romantic, idealist in my spare time, cynical only in low measures or when I`m very tired. I like chocolate. And music: I play the piano a bit and listen to music a lot, I enjoy horse-back riding, but not more than taking long walks and travelling. I love my friends and I guess I like to make them laugh, even if sometimes do it without intention. And of course, I`m always more than happy to make new friends. Um… I`m obviously not very good at talking about myself; nor at concision, apparently. So, sorry and thank you for reading all this epistle, and thank you for accepting me among you on your site, though "clandestinely". All the best to all of you, happy new year and I hope to maybe hear from you some time.
