Web Pals - notice board

Make new friends with Web Pals

This Web Pals message board is a place where blind and partially sighted people can make new friends and catch up with old ones. People leave messages on the Web Pals board so that others can read the message and contact the sender privately by email.

To add messages or contact people you will need to register with the website - you only need to do this once. If you have already registered you will need to login to add messages and contact people.

If you want to add a message to the Web Pals board you will need to be registered with the website and be logged in. Then come to this page and use the 'new notice' link. You can only add one notice at a time. Your post won't go live until it has been moderated, and it will say 'Not approved' next to it until it has been moderated and published.

To contact someone you must be registered with the website, and you must be logged in. When you look at the message you like, there will be a link that says 'contact' - use this link to send a private message to the person. The contact link is only visible if you are registered and logged in.

A typical message might include brief details of your hobbies and interests, or perhaps where and when you went to school or college, or the kind of friendship you are looking for.

For your own safety, don't add personal contact details such as address or phone numbers. Messages with personal contact information will be edited. The WebPals board is viewable by the general public. All posts to the Web Pals board are moderated before they go live.

Web Pals users must follow the terms and conditions (opens in a new window) for the site.

Questions about WebPals? If you want to know more about how to post a message, edit or delete your message, or contact someone via WebPals, read the Help page (opens in a new window).
