Read for RNIB Day Guinness World Record video

Record breaking reading relay!

Book lovers of all ages helped us smash the Guinness World Record for the world's longest Reading Relay on 13 October at Waterstone's, London Piccadilly.

Hundreds of volunteers gathered for the World Record attempt - including Charlie Condou, who plays Marcus Dent in Coronation Street. Each person had to read aloud one sentence at a time from "The Double Eagle Has Landed", an exclusive story by Anthony Horowitz.

We're delighted to say that we smashed the Guinness World Records' title for the most people in a Reading Relay with 317 people successfully reading a line. The previous record was 290 people, held by Austria. We're very proud to bring the record back to the UK! A huge thank you to everyone who took part.
