Elections take place on 2 May. This page contains information about how to find out if there an election in your area, how to vote and issues which you may want to raise.

Our Local council lobby pack sets out a number of matters which you may want to raise with you local councillor, it also contains template letters and suggests some activities and top tips.

RNIB has produced a Sight loss data tool that you can use to find out how many blind and partially sighted people are living in your area, useful information to pass on to councillors!

If there is not an election in your area you can still contact your councillor to ask them what they are doing to meet the local needs of blind and partially sighted people.

How to vote and your rights

All voters have a right to vote independently and in secret. Find out more about your rights as a voter.

To find out about local elections in your area contact your local council and ask to speak to their Democratic Services team.
