Save your stamps for RNIB

Collect stamps for RNIB and make a difference to blind and partially sighted people.

We raise £20 for every kilogramme of stamps we receive.

If you, your business or your organisation, receive cards and letters through the post, could you save the stamps to send to us? Stamps are sold by weight and you can send them for free! We'll turn them into much-needed funds to help people living with sight loss.

What type of stamps can you send?

We accept all stamps: new or used, first or second class, foreign, first day covers, presentation packs or albums. Please don’t send large gold Post Office labels or pre-printed postage marks as these have no value to RNIB.

How to send us your stamps

Sending your stamps to RNIB couldn't be easier!

When saving your stamps, trim carefully around them, leaving approximately one centimetre of paper around the edge.

Keep them safe in an envelope until you have enough to send back to us. If you can, please separate them into British and Overseas (Channel Islands and Isle of Man count as foreign).

Send your stamps with a prepaid label

  1. Download and print our prepaid label and instructions (PDF)
  2. Attach the label to your own blank envelope of any size (up to A4).
  3. Fill the envelope with used postage stamps up to a maximum weight of 1kg.
  4. Complete the accompanying form and include it in your envelope so we can thank you for your donation.
  5. Pop the envelope in the post.

Posting without our prepaid label

If you don’t have access to a printer, you can still use your own envelope to send your stamps, as long as you’re happy to pay for the cost of postage yourself.

Please write the following address on your envelope and add the appropriate postage (refer to Royal Mail for the latest size, weight and cost of postage guidance):

RNIB
Xchange Master Ltd
Unit B, 24 Rosyth Road
Glasgow
G5 0YD

Please also include a note in your envelope with your name and email address to enable us to thank you for your donation.

Alternatively, if you’d like us to send you a prepaid envelope, please complete our request form. You can also request a bulk box if you’re likely to fill more than 10 A4 envelopes or a display collection box if you’d like to put it in a public space.

Requests will be processed and shipped to you within approximately 14 working days.

Get everyone involved

Saving stamps is an easy way to support us at home, work, or in your local community. You can request a handy little collection box for your office reception, school or local community center. We've put together a question and answer document and some posters so you can get your friends, family and work colleagues involved too:

How your fundraising helps

Every day, 250 people in the UK start to lose their sight. Many people won't get any practical or emotional support when they need it most. We want to change that.

£20 would allow someone with sight loss to get helpful, personalised and friendly advice about a key aspect of daily living from a Sight Loss Adviser.

Your fundraising will help ensure that no one faces sight loss alone.
