Join RNIB's team of Joy Makers and you can help children with vision impairment feel included in the festive fun this Christmas.

For some, opening an accessible Letter from Santa is the best part of Christmas; it helps children with vision impairment feel as much a part of the Christmas magic as their friends and families do.

Children like Aadam.

Aadam’s story

Aadam has Fraser syndrome - a condition where both of his eyelids are fused to the cornea. Even though he has some usable sight, he still struggles. Especially at Christmas time, where there are lots of things that make him feel left out, like struggling to see the festive lights turn on or Santa in his grotto.

But with the help of RNIB's elves, Aadam now feels included in the magic of Christmas after receiving his very own accessible Letter from Santa which he can read by himself.

“If Christmas wasn’t accessible to me, I’d feel upset and left out, because I wouldn’t be having fun and everybody else would.”

With your support, more children across the UK can feel included in the joy of Christmas too with an accessible Letter from Santa.

Head Joy Maker, Keira, wants you to join her team

“Hi! My name’s Keira - I’m Head Joy Maker, and this year I’m on a mission to help even more children like me, with vision impairment, feel included in all the festive magic.

I used to feel left out at Christmas – until the year everything changed! I got my first accessible Letter from Santa, and unlike most letters, this one was in braille, and I could read it without Mum’s help! I finally felt included – it was so magical.

There are over 25,000 children who live with vision impairment and so many of them are still missing out at Christmas. But with you on our team of Joy Makers, we can make magic together! We can send more letters than ever before and show them they deserve to be included too.”

By joining our team of Joy Makers, you could help children with vision impairment feel included in the festive magic with an accessible Letter from Santa this Christmas.
