Our partners

RNIB works in partnership with Action for Blind People, National Talking Newspapers and Magazines and Cardiff, Vales and Valleys, to draw on a wide range of skills and resources.

Our close relationship with our partners enables us to provide a unique combination of complementary strengths and expertise to support an ever increasing number of blind and partially sighted people.

Our partnership with Action for Blind People

RNIB and Action for Blind People joined forces on 1 April 2009. The main aim of this relationship is to share resources, skills and expertise and reach more blind and partially sighted people with even better services.

Action is part of the RNIB Group and is working towards delivering our five-year strategy to end the isolation of sight loss.

Regional services are delivered by Action and RNIB administers services on a national level. We combine the best of two excellent organisations for the benefit of blind and partially sighted people.

Both charities have a Board of Trustees, which steer the work of each organisation and ensure that they are working strategically together. Action has two places on RNIB's Board of Trustees and RNIB has two places on Action's Board of Trustees.
