As the RNIB Talking Book Service celebrates more than 70 years of service, RNIB Scotland has highlighted the different policies of local authorities with regard to funding Talking Book Service subscriptions. Some local authorities refuse to offer any support. RNIB Scotland is pressing the Scottish Executive to introduce a universal policy of support in Scotland.

Funding for audio description

RNIB Scotland is pressing for funding for audio description services in Scotland along the lines of support already available in England.

RNIB has made a submission to Ofcom on the standards of audio description for television.
