How to write a review

Five simple tips, to make your review the one everyone will want to read:

  1. Read the whole book, before you write the review.
  2. Keep it short! 500 words is plenty, it can be less but no more. This way people will be able to glance through it quickly, and won't feel that they need to put aside time especially to read it.
  3. Spoiler alert! Don't tell the story. People don't want to know the plot. Anyone reading the review will either have already read the book and are wanting to know what you think, or they are looking to see if they would like to read it.
  4. Tell us what you thought. Good or bad it doesn't matter. People are interested in your opinions, how it made you feel, whether you liked it, and whether you would read anything similar again.
  5. Keep it simple, and enjoy yourself!
