Please send us your stamps
We can raise money from both British and overseas stamps. It doesn't matter if they have already been used, or if they are everyday first or second class stamps - we can collect enough of them to raise money for RNIB!
We can raise more money from overseas stamps. We also collect first day covers, presentation packs and albums.
Recycling used stamps
Stamps are sorted by volunteers. They are mostly sold by weight, if we can identify any valuable stamps they can be sold for a higher price. As a general guideline RNIB can expect to receive around £4.50 for one kilogram of British stamps. We also raise up to £15 for a kilogram of overseas stamps.
Do encourage your friends and family, at home and abroad, to save their stamps for RNIB.
We spoke to our
stamp recycling volunteer Terri, to find out more about her role and why we need your used stamps more than ever!
How to donate used stamps
Sorting your stamps
Please cut the stamp off the envelope - our volunteers prepare thousands of stamps and this will save them hours of work.
When cutting, leave approximately 1cm of envelope bordering each stamp. The rest of the envelope can be discarded (which will make it cheaper to send).
Please separate the stamps into:
-
British
-
Overseas - Jersey, Guernsey, Eire and Isle of Man are classed as overseas
The value of a stamp does not matter, so 1p stamps can be grouped together with £1 stamps.
Where to send your stamps
Collected stamps should be sent to:

Thank you
Your support for the stamp recycling scheme is very much appreciated.
Every day 100 people in the UK start losing their sight. Right now RNIB can only reach one in three of the people who need our help most. Recycle stamps and help us reach them all.
To ensure the maximum amount of money is raised for blind and partially sighted people we are unfortunately unable to personally thank stamp donations. Similarly, we are unable to provide stamp collection boxes.
