Naomi's story

Naomi is developing by listening to audio books

Naomi is 14 years old and was born with cerebral palsy, blindness and severe learning difficulties. She can't speak or see, so finds it hugely difficult to communicate.

Naomi's mother Lorna recently received funding from her local authority for our Talking Book service. Our trained librarians were on hand to advise Lorna on which types of books Naomi would enjoy most. Now she gets through at least two a week. Not only are these talking books educational, but as Naomi lies in bed and listens to them, she can really relax and enjoy time in her own company.
