During a recent Wills promotion, Roy got in touch with his regional Wills and Legacies Advisor, Annette Cox:
"I've always known about and supported RNIB. I asked Annette to help me with my Will. She came to visit me, she was very friendly and the time went by too quickly. We sat at my dining room table and drank coffee whilst she read through the various formalities of making a Will and I told her what I wanted to do, who I wanted to include and the legacies I wanted to leave. It wasn't a formal interview at all; she put me at ease and helped me go over everything.
How Annette helped me
Having Annette to help me meant the job was soon done. She helped to prepare everything ready for me to go to the solicitor.
She made it so much easier for me. She took away all the stress of making a Will. If she hadn't come I don't think I would have made one because although I made a Will in the mid 80's when my wife was still alive that's fallen by the wayside really and it's been revoked now. I think I would have just soldiered on and not made a Will at all so I'm so glad she came to set it all in motion.
Since I finished the Will my mind is at rest because I know I've got everything in place. The Will was the final detail and I now have it all sorted out."
